Donaire choices Vazquez in a unimpressive display

By Chris Williams: Nonito Donaire (28-1, 18 KO’s) successfully climbed in weight this evening to demolish Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. (21-2-1, 18 KO’s) by a 12 adjust part choice to guarantee the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight title at the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas. The last judges' scores were 117-110, 117-110 for Donaire, and 115-112 for Vazquez Jr.

Donaire scored a blaze knockdown from an other side catch in the 9th, but alternate than that, he never mischief Vazquez Jr. notwithstanding totally battled when the first four adjusts. Once Vazquez Jr. got his offense in rigging, Donaire started to consume hits and right hands. Donaire appeared to respond in an abnormal, as he began playing and ducking down level, as though he was a quite underprivileged form of Roy Jones Jr. It actually made Donaire look unprofessional. Donaire consumed a unit if pokes to the encounter lasting throughout the night and both of his eyes were red and swollen from this. On the outside, Donaire had a great deal of situations with Vazquez's pokes and right hands. I’ve never perceived Donaire labor so gravely ever. Donaire for the most part battled in spurts, swinging as though he were searching for an one-punch knockout. That sort of thing might have worked for him at flyweight, super flyweight and in opposition to modest bantamweights like Fernando Montiel, but in opposition to a veritable super bantamweight in Vazquez Jr., it wasn’t working for Donaire. He actually doesn’t have major capacity at super bantamweight like he did in the lighter weights.

With everything taken into account, Donaire looked somewhat mean and I think its reasonable to express
